From the Grill to You – Bilkebab is built on people, passion, and purpose.

MEET OUR FOUNDER

At the heart of Bilkebab is Haj Khadijat Ibrahim Abdullahi, born in Bida, Niger State, on September 5, 1976. A teacher by training, Khadijat began her career in Nigeria and later the UAE. But beyond teaching, she carried a conviction: to create what did not exist in Minna at the time — a lively, loving street food culture.

While Kaduna and other neighboring cities thrived with vibrant food scenes, Minna was still centered around family meals at home. Instead of lamenting, Khadijat decided to change the narrative. In December 2006, inspired by her son Bilal’s love for kebabs and guided by her own originality, she launched Bilkebab: a tiny 20-foot roadside container offering kebabs and snacks with recipes full of comfort, freshness, and love.

Today, alongside her family, Khadijat continues to guide Bilkebab as CEO, holding firm to her conviction that good food is more than a meal — it’s comfort, community, and connection.

Our Milestone

The Beginning

Bilkebab started as a 20-foot roadside container at Shango, Minna, serving fresh kebabs and snacks inspired by founder Haj Khadijat’s vision and Bilal’s love for grilled meat.

Dine-In Arrives

Just two years later, Bilkebab expanded to include dine-in seating, transforming from a simple chop shop into a welcoming food hub.

2010s – Growing the Experience

Bilkebab evolved into a full restaurant, bakery, and coffee shop with outdoor play areas — creating spaces where families and friends could gather.
